StorHub Welcomes Polytechnic Students with Education and Career Guidance Speeches and Site Tour

On 1 November 23, StorHub gave a warm reception to our guest speaker from ACCA Singapore and a cohort of 107 Singapore Polytechnic students majoring in Accounting at our StorHub Toa Payoh facility where informative speeches were delivered at our very own auditorium and our guests were given a full tour of our storage facility. The event was part of the Education and Career Guidance initiative for the group of year 1 polytechnic students.

Shortly after the arrival of all 107 students, Sylvia Ong, the Business Development Manager of ACCA started off with her presentation on the ACCA Accelerate program which was designed to give exceptional students the opportunity to gain the upper hand over their peers by letting them make use of the knowledge and skills they’ve acquired upon obtaining their ACCA qualification to enhance their employability.

Our Group CEO, Mike Hagbeck then gave his presentation which included an introduction to StorHub and our business. Other fascinating speeches that followed included one on StorHub’s ESG efforts and sustainability initiatives delivered by our Group ESG Director & Head of Singapore Facility Management, Geoff James. Our ACCA qualified CFO, Swee Guan Goh, also gave a talk on his journey with ACCA and shared about the skillsets that are required for those who are interested in achieving their ACCA qualification.

After wrapping up the presentations, group photos were taken, and refreshments were provided to all at our roof garden to perk everyone up. The event then concluded on a high note with our guests being taken on a site tour to check out Winebanc, our wine storage facility, wine tasting room, self storage area, StorHub Lifestyle, Electric Vehicle (EV) charging points and solar panels.
