StorHub Reaps A Fine Harvest From Our Green Garden

StorHub has been stepping up its green efforts to be more environmentally responsible. These endeavors include setting up electric vehicle charging stations, smart air-conditioning, full solar panels at our storage facilities and an exuberant rooftop garden.
At StorHub Toa Payoh, our roof garden which spans over 760 square metres is certainly adding greenery to our landscape and benefiting both our StorHub customers and employees, providing a welcoming and cozy recreational area for all. Besides the aesthetic appeal that the greenery brings to our building, the advantages that the green garden brings along include acting as the rooftop’s waterproofing barrier to protect it from the adverse effects of environmental elements, minimizing degradation and prolonging the roof’s lifespan.
In this issue of our blog, we take a peek at the lovely greens planted in our garden by our very own StorHub staff. At StorHub, we have been consistently and proactively taking our green efforts to the next level on the rooftop garden by showering the edible greens that we’ve grown with tender loving care. All staff in StorHub get a designated plantation area of their own and we even get to choose the type of edible plants we would like to grow. Together, we take turns to swing by the green garden to water and look after the plants, joining in the fun of a farm-to-table experience. Some edible plants that we’ve spotted in our lush green garden include chillies, lemons, blue pea flowers and herbs likes rosemary which are all fantastic condiments for savoury dishes that we all love in a multicultural country like Singapore that has a wide variety of delicacies that tantalise our taste buds!
