StorHub volunteers participate in MINDS fundraising event Colour Socks Parade 2023

StorHub participated in the annual Colour Socks Parade 2023 recently which is yet another meaningful event organised by our CSR partner, MINDS. The Colour Socks Parade is a fundraising event that raises awareness of Persons with Intellectual Disability (PWIDs) here in Singapore and enhances social inclusion in the society. The aim is to meet a collective target of 60,000 hours of sports activities such as cycling, jogging, walking, running and/or swimming and to raise S$250,000 with proceeds from the event going towards the development of services and programmes for PWIDs to enable them to lead an even more fulfilling life. 10 of our StorHub volunteers who turned up for the event were in charge of ensuring the safety of participants as sports assistants, referees, score takers and time keepers during the Telematch and Futsal games.

The Colour Socks Parade 2023 spotlights inclusive sports with the aim of promoting healthy living habits to improve PWIDs’ health, strengthen their physical endurance to sustain employment, and enhance their quality of life. The event also gives PWIDs the opportunity to showcase their abilities and bridge them with the wider community.

You can now be a part of this worthy cause any time and anywhere by signing up for the Colour Socks Parade Virtual Challenge either as individuals or groups before 30 June 2023! Simply make a donation of $50 or more upon registration, download one of the participating fitness tracking apps (i.e. the Strava / Garmin / Fitbit / HUAWEI Health Kit app) to start clocking the hours of your preferred sports activities, and upload the hours via Google form before the last day of the Colour Socks Parade 2023 on 30 June 2023. You will receive a Challenge Pack consisting of a Colour Socks Parade 2023 t-shirt and socks with your $50 donation!
