StorHub Self Storage – Recipient of Friend of the Arts Award 2021

We are proud to announce that StorHub Self Storage has been recognised on Friday (Sept 17) at the National Arts Council's (NAC) annual Patron of the Arts Awards, held at the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre, among one of the 264 art patrons who contributed nearly $40 million in the year 2020. As a recipient of the Friend of the Arts Award 2021, it is our pleasure to contribute towards the development of the arts, allowing for the arts to grow and be readily available to everyone.

Over time, the generosity of arts has gradually gone beyond donations in the form of cash, but also other forms that are not as conventional such as the gift of skills, space and other similar types of contribution. StorHub received a special mention from Mr. Edwin Tong, the Minister for Culture, Community and Youth during the National Arts Council’s annual Patron of the Arts Awards where it was cited that the current phenomenon is that cultural magnanimity has evolved to involve more than just monetary support. It has been reported that in-kind donations have skyrocketed by 73% since 2019.

By being the provider of storage space to local performing arts organisations, Pangdemonium and Players Theatre, StorHub’s support for these theatre companies has helped them to save on the storage costs of renting a space for the safekeeping of their props and inventory as they reschedule their shows to later dates due to the evolving safe management measures attributed to the ongoing pandemic.
