StorHub Expands And Launches Premium Lifestyle Storage To Meet Demands | Channel News Asia

StorHub Singapore’s CEO, Luigi La Tona, was recently interviewed by Channel News Asia, sharing that StorHub has seen an upsurge in demand for storage space due to the ongoing pandemic. To meet the storage needs of Singaporeans, we have already opened 2 new self storage facilities in 2021 in Yishun and Kallang Avenue to make our facilities more accessible to residents living in those neighbourhoods. 2 more new StorHub storage facilities will be opening in the first quarter of next year in Serangoon and Toh Guan areas. All up, StorHub has opened close to 300,000 square feet of storage units within one year to meet the continuing demand.

This upward trend has been evident since many more individuals and businesses have been enquiring about and moving into our storage spaces for the storage of their personal belongings and inventory. Luigi also shared that customers are now storing away their items with us for different reasons since the pandemic started, with more people treating storage units as a necessity rather than just something that would be nice to have.

The increase in demand has been due to a variety of reasons like limited space in newer homes, working from home being the default mode of work which is causing those affected to feel the need to store away items like furniture and things they rarely use to make room for a more conducive work environment. Others are also turning to StorHub so that they can start keeping hobby items or for temporary storage of their possessions while home renovation is underway. Some foreigners who returned to their home countries to visit friends and family have also chosen to store with us due to travel restrictions that caused them to not be able to re-enter Singapore. Luigi also revealed that our wine storage facilities at Winebanc have experienced almost a 200 percent spike in demand. With more businesses going digital since the pandemic began, StorHub was inspired to introduce a new lifestyle concept so that our customers can enjoy a higher-end storage experience that includes digital locks, state-of-the-art security and even communal areas.
